Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Immuncell-LC + sorafenib is an investigational combination therapy made up of *Immuncell-LC*, a natural killer (NK) cell-based autologous cell immunotherapy, and *sorafenib*, a small molecule multitargeted kinase inhibitor approved for hepatocellular carcinoma and other indications. Immuncell-LC is designed to augment the body’s immune response, primarily through activation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and NK cells, enhancing antitumor immunity. Sorafenib targets multiple kinases involved in tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis, including VEGFR and RAF kinases. The combination aims to synergize immune activation and targeted inhibition of tumor growth and vasculature to enhance anticancer effects while minimizing toxicity. This strategy is being investigated for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, leveraging Immuncell-LC’s immune modulation to overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment that can limit sorafenib efficacy[1].
