Overview

IN-B001 EV71 + CVA16 bivalent vaccine is an investigational **inactivated bivalent vaccine** developed to prevent **hand-foot-and-mouth disease (HFMD)** by providing immunity against two major causative viruses: **Enterovirus 71 (EV71)** and **Coxsackievirus A16 (CVA16)**. The vaccine contains inactivated forms of both EV71 and CVA16 viral particles, inducing the production of neutralizing antibodies specific to both virus types. The vaccine is designed to address the gap in CVA16-associated HFMD prevention, as vaccines for EV71 alone are available in certain regions but no bivalent or CVA16-specific vaccine is approved globally. Early-phase clinical data target its safety and immunogenicity in healthy adults, and preclinical studies (not product-specific) suggest bivalent vaccines can protect against both viruses with no immunological interference between the two vaccine antigens[1][2][3]. The vaccine is developed by **HK inno.N Corporation**.
