This drug refers to a combined immunization regimen involving the co-administration of an inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine (specifically the Vero cell vaccine developed by the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, WIBP-CorV), a quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (IIV4), and a 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPV23). The regimen was evaluated in Phase 4 clinical trials by the China National Biotec Group (CNBG) to assess the safety and immunogenicity of simultaneous administration compared to separate dosing. The goal of such combinations is to improve vaccination efficiency and coverage for respiratory pathogens, particularly in older adults or high-risk populations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 component is an inactivated whole-virus vaccine, the influenza component targets four seasonal strains, and the pneumococcal component provides protection against 23 common serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae.
