Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV) and RotaTeq, which is a live, oral pentavalent rotavirus vaccine. RotaTeq contains five live reassortant rotaviruses derived from human and bovine hosts. The vaccine helps prevent rotavirus gastroenteritis in infants and children caused by rotavirus types G1, G2, G3, G4, and G9. In clinical trials, RotaTeq was administered concomitantly with inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV) along with other routine childhood vaccines.
