Overview

This drug is a combination therapy consisting of **INBRX-109**, **cisplatin**, and **pemetrexed**. INBRX-109 (also called ozekibart) is a recombinant, humanized, tetravalent monoclonal antibody that **agonizes death receptor 5 (DR5)**, a proapoptotic receptor highly expressed in some cancer types. DR5 activation induces apoptotic cell death via caspase activation, leading to tumor cell destruction[1][2][3][5][6]. Cisplatin is a platinum-based **small molecule chemotherapy agent** that induces apoptosis primarily through DNA cross-linking and damage. Pemetrexed is a **small molecule antifolate chemotherapeutic** that inhibits folate-dependent enzymes required for DNA synthesis. The combination is evaluated for synergistic antitumor effects, especially in solid tumors such as **malignant pleural mesothelioma, pancreatic adenocarcinoma**, and sarcomas (notably chondrosarcoma and Ewing sarcoma)[3][4][6].
