Drug intelligence / Profile preview
INCB001158 + paclitaxel is a combination regimen consisting of INCB001158, an oral small molecule inhibitor of arginase, and paclitaxel, a microtubule-stabilizing chemotherapeutic agent. INCB001158 inhibits arginase enzymes to prevent arginine depletion, thereby modulating the tumor microenvironment to increase antitumor immune responses. Paclitaxel disrupts mitosis by stabilizing microtubules, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in tumor cells. This combination is under clinical evaluation for advanced/metastatic solid tumors, including biliary tract cancers[3]. The regimen’s investigational focus is on improving efficacy by integrating immunomodulation with cytotoxic chemotherapy.
