indacaterol + glycopyrronium

Indacaterol + glycopyrronium is a fixed-dose combination inhaled medication used as a long-term maintenance treatment for airflow obstruction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Indacaterol is an ultra-long-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist (LABA) that relaxes bronchial smooth muscle to improve airflow. Glycopyrronium is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA) that blocks the action of acetylcholine on airway smooth muscle cells, leading to bronchodilation. The combination provides rapid onset of action within 5 minutes and sustained bronchodilation over 24 hours. It is not indicated for asthma or acute relief of symptoms[1][3][5][8].
