Indacaterol + mometasone furoate is a fixed-dose combination medication for the treatment of asthma in adults and adolescents twelve years of age and older who are not adequately controlled with inhaled corticosteroids and inhaled short-acting beta-2 agonists. Indacaterol acts as a long-acting beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist (LABA) that produces bronchodilation, while mometasone furoate is a corticosteroid that reduces pulmonary inflammation. The medication is administered via oral inhalation using the Breezhaler device.
