Indacaterol acetate + glycopyrronium bromide + mometasone furoate is a fixed-dose triple combination inhaled therapy indicated as a maintenance treatment for asthma in adults not adequately controlled with a long acting beta2 agonist (LABA) and an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS), who have experienced one or more asthma exacerbations in the previous year. Indacaterol is a long-acting beta2 adrenergic receptor agonist that relaxes airway smooth muscle by activating beta2 receptors, leading to bronchodilation. Glycopyrronium bromide is a long acting muscarinic receptor antagonist (LAMA) that blocks muscarinic receptors in airway smooth muscle, also resulting in bronchodilation. Mometasone furoate is an inhaled corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory effects mediated through glucocorticoid receptor activation, reducing immune activity and inflammation within the airways.
