This individualized neoantigen peptide vaccine is an investigational immunotherapy developed by the First Hospital of Shijiazhuang City for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The vaccine is personalized for each patient by identifying tumor-specific mutations (neoantigens) through genomic sequencing of the patient's tumor tissue. Synthetic peptides corresponding to these neoantigens are then produced and administered to the patient, typically via subcutaneous injection. The goal is to stimulate the patient's immune system, specifically activating neoantigen-specific CD4+ and CD8+ T cells to recognize and eliminate cancer cells. In clinical settings, this vaccine is being evaluated in combination with targeted therapies such as EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) or anti-angiogenic agents, particularly for patients with EGFR-mutant NSCLC who have developed resistance to standard treatments.
