Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Indole-3-carbinol + HMR lignan is a combination dietary supplement containing two plant-derived compounds. Indole-3-carbinol (I3C) is a phytochemical found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. It is known for its potential antiestrogenic and antiproliferative effects, including modulation of estrogen metabolism toward less toxic metabolites, induction of apoptosis in cancer cells, and immunomodulatory actions through the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR). HMR lignan (hydroxymatairesinol) is a phytoestrogen derived from Norwegian spruce that acts as an antioxidant and may bind to estrogen receptors to support healthy cell proliferation. The combination has been shown to increase estrogen C-2 hydroxylation—a pathway associated with reduced risk of hormone-dependent cancers—and may provide synergistic support for hormone balance and cellular health[4][5][8]. Developers: DaVinci Laboratories
