Infanrix + Prevenar 13

Infanrix + Prevenar 13 refers to the simultaneous administration of two pediatric vaccines: Infanrix, a hexavalent combination vaccine (DTPa-HBV-IPV/Hib) that protects against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), hepatitis B, poliomyelitis, and *Haemophilus influenzae* type b; and Prevenar 13 (Pneumococcal 13-valent Conjugate Vaccine), which protects against infections caused by thirteen serotypes of *Streptococcus pneumoniae*. Both are inactivated vaccines administered intramuscularly at different injection sites during the same visit. The mechanism of action for both is immunization via induction of specific antibodies against their respective antigens. This co-administration is common in national immunization programs to provide broad protection in infancy[3][4][7].
