Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Boryung Fluvaccine V/VIII-TF is an inactivated, thimerosal-free influenza vaccine developed by Boryung Biopharma for the prevention of seasonal influenza. It is a trivalent vaccine containing purified hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) antigens from three strains of influenza virus (typically two Influenza A subtypes and one Influenza B lineage), as recommended annually by the World Health Organization (WHO). The vaccine is produced using egg-based manufacturing processes and is formulated as a split-virion preparation. It is administered via intramuscular injection, typically using a prefilled syringe, to induce active immunity by stimulating the production of neutralizing antibodies against the viral hemagglutinin, thereby preventing viral attachment and entry into host cells.
