Overview
TetraFlu is a quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (QIV) developed by Adimmune Corporation for the prevention of seasonal influenza. It is indicated for active immunization in adults and children aged 3 years and older. The vaccine contains inactivated split-virion antigens from four influenza strains: two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). Administered via intramuscular injection, TetraFlu induces the production of antibodies against viral hemagglutinin, thereby providing prophylaxis against infection and reducing the severity of disease. It represents an evolution of the AdimFlu trivalent vaccine, incorporating an additional B-strain to enhance protective coverage against co-circulating influenza B lineages.
