Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a preservative-free, inactivated split-virion influenza vaccine developed by the Institute of Medical Biology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (IMB, CAMS). Produced using an egg-based platform, the vaccine is designed to provide active immunization against seasonal influenza. It is specifically formulated for pediatric use in children aged 6 to 36 months, with a 0.25 mL dose containing 7.5 μg of hemagglutinin (HA) per strain. The vaccine is trivalent, containing antigens from two influenza A subtypes and one influenza B lineage. It has undergone Phase 3 clinical testing to evaluate its safety and immunogenicity compared to preservative-containing formulations in the Chinese pediatric population.
