Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**INGAP peptide + ustekinumab** is an investigational subcutaneous co-administration regimen studied for established type 1 diabetes mellitus. INGAP peptide, also known as INGAP(104-118), is a 15-amino-acid islet neogenesis-associated protein peptide intended to promote regeneration or functional recovery of insulin-secreting pancreatic islets. Ustekinumab is a monoclonal antibody that neutralizes the shared p40 subunit of interleukin-12 and interleukin-23, providing autoimmune modulation intended to protect newly formed or recovering beta cells. The regimen was evaluated in the completed single-center, open-label Phase 2 study NCT02204397 in adults with established type 1 diabetes mellitus.
