Overview

A combination regimen consisting of **INI-4001**, a novel small molecule **TLR7/8 (Toll-like receptor 7/8) agonist** in a nanoparticle delivery system, and **nivolumab**, a monoclonal antibody checkpoint inhibitor targeting PD-1 (Programmed cell death protein 1). INI-4001 is being developed for the induction of anti-tumor immune responses and for sensitization to immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy in patients with advanced solid tumors. Nivolumab (Opdivo) is an approved PD-1 inhibitor used in various cancers. In this experimental combination, INI-4001 activates innate immunity (notably by increasing IFNα and activating antigen-presenting cells), and when used with nivolumab, aims to enhance T cell activation and anti-tumor immune response. This combination is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for advanced solid tumors[1][2][3][5].
