Iniparib + topotecan

Iniparib + topotecan is an investigational combination therapy involving two small molecule drugs. Iniparib was initially developed as a poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor but later studies have shown it does not function as a classic PARP inhibitor and its precise mechanism remains unclear. Topotecan is a semi-synthetic derivative of camptothecin and acts as a topoisomerase I inhibitor, interfering with DNA replication and leading to cell death.
