Overview

Remaxa is a hepatoprotective and antioxidant combination drug developed by Polysan Ltd. It consists of four active components: inosine, methionine, nicotinamide, and succinic acid. The drug is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic diffuse liver diseases, including viral hepatitis, toxic (drug-induced) liver injury, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, particularly when complicated by intrahepatic cholestasis. Remaxa acts as a stimulant for Beta-nerve growth factor (NGFB) and metabolic processes, helping to reduce cytolysis and improve liver function. It was developed as an oral, enteric-coated tablet formulation to provide a solid-form alternative to the infusion solution Remaxol (which contains the same active metabolites plus meglumine).
