Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of insulin lispro (a rapid-acting insulin analog) and insulin peglispro (a long-acting basal insulin). Insulin peglispro is a modified version of insulin lispro with a polyethylene glycol polymer attached, giving it a longer duration of action. The combination was studied for treatment of type 1 diabetes, showing improved glycemic control with lower HbA1c levels compared to insulin glargine, but development was discontinued due to safety concerns including elevated liver enzymes and triglycerides.
