Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IOV-3001 + lifileucel is an investigational combination therapy for cancer, currently under clinical evaluation. **IOV-3001** is a modified interleukin-2 (IL-2) fusion protein formed by dimerizing IL-2 and fusing it to the antibody palivizumab, resulting in a longer half-life and potentially improved safety compared with aldesleukin. Its purpose is to enhance the persistence and efficacy of tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy. **Lifileucel** (commercial name Amtagvi) is an FDA-approved autologous TIL therapy that has demonstrated efficacy in metastatic or unresectable melanoma. The combination is designed to substitute aldesleukin (high-dose IL-2) with IOV-3001 in the TIL regimen to support T cell expansion and persistence after TIL infusion.
