Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Iparomlimab + tuvonralimab (sometimes referred to by the concatenated name iparolitotovorelimab) is an investigational combination immunotherapy regimen consisting of two humanized monoclonal antibodies: **iparomlimab** (CBT-501), which targets the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor, and **tuvonralimab** (CBT-502), which targets cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4). Developed by **Apollomics** (formerly CBT Pharmaceuticals), this dual checkpoint inhibitor combination aims to overcome immune resistance and enhance anti-tumor activity by simultaneously blocking two distinct pathways that suppress T-cell function. The combination is being evaluated in several clinical trials, notably in China, for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including **esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC)**. In these studies, it is often combined with other agents such as the multi-kinase inhibitor **anlotinib** and radiotherapy, particularly in patients who have failed prior anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapies.
