Overview

This immuno-chemotherapy regimen is an investigational combination treatment being evaluated for the treatment of limited-stage small cell lung cancer (LS-SCLC). The regimen consists of **QL1706** (a bifunctional antibody mixture of the anti-PD-1 antibody **iparomlimab** and the anti-CTLA-4 antibody **tuvonralimab**), the chemotherapy agents **etoposide** and **cisplatin**, and the immunomodulator **thymosin alpha 1**. QL1706, developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical using their proprietary MabPair technology, allows for the simultaneous blockade of the PD-1 and CTLA-4 pathways, which are key immune checkpoints that tumors exploit to evade immune detection. Etoposide and cisplatin are standard-of-care chemotherapy agents that induce DNA damage and cell death. Thymosin alpha 1 is included to further enhance T-cell function and immune response. This combination is typically administered concurrently with thoracic radiotherapy in the limited-stage setting to maximize local and systemic tumor control.
