Overview
This is a neoadjuvant combination therapy regimen being evaluated for the treatment of surgically resectable esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). The regimen consists of **QL1706**, a novel bifunctional biologic developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical that combines **iparomlimab** (an anti-PD-1 IgG4 monoclonal antibody) and **tuvonralimab** (an anti-CTLA-4 IgG1 monoclonal antibody) in a fixed 2:1 ratio. This is combined with **lenvatinib**, a multi-kinase inhibitor targeting VEGFR 1-3, FGFR 1-4, PDGFR-α, KIT, and RET, and a chemotherapy backbone comprising a platinum agent (**cisplatin** or **carboplatin**) and **nab-paclitaxel** (albumin-bound paclitaxel). The combination aims to leverage the synergistic anti-tumor effects of dual immune checkpoint inhibition, anti-angiogenesis, and cytotoxic chemotherapy in the locally advanced resectable setting.
