Overview
This drug combination is a chemo-immunotherapy regimen being investigated for the neoadjuvant treatment of resectable stage III-N2b non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The regimen centers on **QL1706**, a novel bifunctional antibody combination (or "Mab-Pair") developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical that contains **iparomlimab** (an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody) and **tuvonralimab** (an anti-CTLA-4 monoclonal antibody). This immunotherapy component is combined with a platinum-based chemotherapy backbone consisting of **carboplatin** and either **pemetrexed** (for non-squamous histology) or **nab-paclitaxel** (for squamous histology). By simultaneously blocking the PD-1 and CTLA-4 immune checkpoints while inducing cytotoxic tumor cell death through chemotherapy, the regimen aims to enhance anti-tumor immunity and improve pathological complete response (pCR) rates prior to surgical resection.
