This immunotherapy component is combined with a platinum-based chemotherapy backbone consisting of **carboplatin** and either **pemetrexed** (for non-squamous histology) or **nab-paclitaxel** (for squamous histology). By simultaneously blocking the PD-1 and CTLA-4 immune checkpoints while inducing cytotoxic tumor cell death through chemotherapy, the regimen aims to enhance anti-tumor immunity and improve pathological complete response (pCR) rates prior to surgical resection.
