Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ipatasertib + paclitaxel is a combination therapy that pairs ipatasertib, an AKT inhibitor, with paclitaxel, a chemotherapy drug. Ipatasertib works by inhibiting the AKT protein, which is often overactivated in cancer, particularly in tumors with PIK3CA/AKT1/PTEN alterations. This combination has been studied primarily for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer.
