Overview

IPH5201 is a monoclonal antibody that targets the CD39 antigen (ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase-1, ENTPD1) immunosuppressive pathway, blocking the cell surface receptor CD39 to promote accumulation of immunostimulatory ATP and prevent production of immunosuppressive adenosine. This enhances antitumor immune responses by reducing tumor-mediated immunosuppression[2][5]. Durvalumab is a human monoclonal antibody targeting Programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), preventing its interaction with PD-1 and CD80 to restore T-cell activity against cancer cells. The combination of IPH5201, durvalumab, and standard chemotherapy is being investigated as neoadjuvant and adjuvant therapy for resectable early-stage (stage II–IIIA) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)[4][8]. Standard chemotherapy regimens may include carboplatin/paclitaxel or pemetrexed/cisplatin/carboplatin[4]. The approach aims to shrink tumors before surgery and reduce recurrence risk after surgery.
