Overview

A combination therapy consisting of ipilimumab, an anti-CTLA-4 monoclonal antibody immunotherapy, and dabrafenib, a BRAF kinase inhibitor. This combination pairs an immune checkpoint inhibitor with a targeted therapy for the treatment of advanced melanoma with BRAF V600 mutations. Ipilimumab works by blocking the CTLA-4 checkpoint, promoting T-cell function and growth to enhance immune response against cancer cells. Dabrafenib inhibits mutated BRAF kinase, disrupting the MAPK pathway and decreasing cell proliferation in cancer cells with BRAF V600 mutations.
