This is a fixed-dose combination of three antihypertensive agents—irbesartan, amlodipine, and hydrochlorothiazide—used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension). Irbesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively blocks the AT1 subtype receptor, preventing vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) that inhibits calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, resulting in vasodilation.
