Irinotecan hydrochloride liposome injection (II) + temozolomide + bevacizumab is a combination therapy regimen being investigated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory soft tissue sarcoma. The regimen consists of a liposomal formulation of irinotecan, which is a topoisomerase I inhibitor designed for enhanced drug delivery and prolonged circulation; temozolomide, an oral alkylating agent that induces DNA damage; and bevacizumab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) to inhibit angiogenesis. This Phase 2 study is led by the Second Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, aiming to evaluate the synergistic efficacy and safety of these agents in patients who have failed prior systemic treatments. The liposomal irinotecan component (specifically the 'Injection (II)' formulation) is a specialized delivery system that improves the therapeutic index of the active metabolite SN-38.
