This combination therapy regimen consists of irinotecan liposome, capecitabine, bevacizumab, and camrelizumab. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 2 clinical trial as a second-line or higher treatment for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). Irinotecan liposome is a topoisomerase I inhibitor that prevents DNA religation, leading to double-strand breaks and cell death. Capecitabine is an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil that inhibits thymidylate synthase, thereby disrupting DNA synthesis. Bevacizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), inhibiting tumor angiogenesis. Camrelizumab is a PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor that restores the anti-tumor activity of T-cells. This multi-modal approach combines cytotoxic chemotherapy, anti-angiogenic therapy, and immunotherapy to overcome resistance in advanced colorectal cancer.
