irinotecan liposome + nab-paclitaxel + gemcitabine is a combination chemotherapy regimen being evaluated as a first-line treatment for patients with locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer. The regimen combines three active agents: irinotecan liposome (a topoisomerase I inhibitor encapsulated in a long-circulating liposomal formulation), nab-paclitaxel (an albumin-bound nanoparticle formulation of the microtubule inhibitor paclitaxel), and gemcitabine (a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis). This combination is currently being studied in a Phase I/II investigator-initiated trial at Harbin Medical University to determine its safety and efficacy compared to standard doublet or triplet therapies. The liposomal and nanoparticle delivery systems are designed to enhance intratumoral drug concentration and reduce systemic toxicity.
