Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Iron + Vitamin B12 + Folic Acid (JMB) is an oral combination supplement developed by JMB Pharmaceuticals. It is designed to address nutritional deficiencies that lead to anemia by providing three essential components for hematopoiesis. Iron is a critical substrate for the synthesis of hemoglobin, which is necessary for oxygen transport in red blood cells. Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) and folic acid act as essential cofactors in DNA synthesis and the maturation of hematopoietic cells. This combination is used to treat iron deficiency anemia and provides supportive therapy for megaloblastic anemias associated with vitamin B12 or folate deficiencies, ensuring that the biological pathways for red blood cell production are adequately supported.
