Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Isoquercetin + zafirlukast** is an investigational oral small-molecule combination being developed by Quercis for cancer and thrombo-inflammatory indications. Isoquercetin is a protein disulfide-isomerase inhibitor, while zafirlukast is a repurposed cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 antagonist that also inhibits thiol isomerases including protein disulfide-isomerase A3. The combination is intended to cooperatively suppress tumor growth and tumor-associated thromboinflammation, including signaling associated with tissue factor, vascular endothelial growth factor, transmembrane protein 176B, and programmed cell death 1 ligand 1. Preclinical ovarian-cancer xenograft data support antitumor and antithrombotic activity, and Quercis lists Kinisoquin plus zafirlukast as an investigational oncology combination.
