Overview

ITIL-168 + pembrolizumab is an investigational combination therapy consisting of ITIL-168, an autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) cell therapy, and pembrolizumab, a programmed death 1 (PD-1) immune checkpoint inhibitor monoclonal antibody. ITIL-168 is manufactured from each patient’s own resected tumor tissue to provide a personalized T-cell product with broad T-cell receptor diversity. Pembrolizumab blocks the PD-1/PD-L1 pathway to enhance antitumor immune responses by preventing T-cell inactivation in the tumor microenvironment. The combination aims to leverage both direct adoptive cell transfer and checkpoint inhibition for synergistic antitumor activity. This regimen is being evaluated primarily in advanced solid tumors including cervical cancer, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in patients who have progressed after standard therapies[1][2][3][5].
