ivermectin + aspirin is a combination of two small molecule drugs, each with distinct mechanisms of action. Ivermectin is an antiparasitic agent that has demonstrated antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties, including inhibition of viral replication and modulation of host immune responses. Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that acts as an antiplatelet agent by irreversibly inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of thromboxane A2 and prostaglandins. This combination has been investigated in clinical studies for its potential to reduce inflammation, prevent thrombosis, and limit disease progression in COVID-19 patients[2][3][5][6]. The combination does not have a unique brand name or widespread regulatory approval as a fixed-dose product but has been used together in experimental protocols.
