Overview

Ivonescimab + chemotherapy refers to a combination regimen consisting of ivonescimab, a first-in-class bispecific antibody targeting programmed death-1 (PD-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), administered together with standard chemotherapy agents (typically platinum-based and/or taxane chemotherapy such as carboplatin, pemetrexed, or docetaxel)[1][3][5][7]. Ivonescimab exhibits both immune checkpoint inhibition (via PD-1 blockade) and anti-angiogenesis (via VEGF-A blockade), with a unique tetravalent structure that allows cooperative, high-avidity binding within the tumor microenvironment[2][4][6]. This combination has demonstrated significant improvements in progression-free survival and favorable safety in multiple indications, primarily advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), including squamous and non-squamous subtypes, as well as in early-stage triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC)[1][3][5][7]. The chemotherapy agents used are standard-of-care regimens as approved for these cancer types.
