Overview

Ivonescimab + EGFR-TKI is a combination therapy regimen currently under investigation for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with EGFR mutations. Ivonescimab (AK112/SMT112) is a first-in-class bispecific antibody that simultaneously targets programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). By combining immune checkpoint inhibition with anti-angiogenesis in a single molecule, ivonescimab aims to enhance anti-tumor activity. In this regimen, it is paired with third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) to overcome resistance or manage progression in patients who have previously failed TKI therapy. The combination is being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials sponsored by institutions like Shandong Cancer Hospital and Institute.
