Overview
Ixazomib + lenalidomide + dexamethasone is an oral combination regimen used to treat multiple myeloma, specifically in patients who have received at least one prior therapy. Ixazomib is a proteasome inhibitor that blocks the activity of the 20S proteasome, leading to accumulation of proteins and apoptosis in cancer cells. Lenalidomide is an immunomodulatory agent that interferes with cellular signaling and modulates immune responses, while dexamethasone is a corticosteroid that enhances the anti-myeloma effects of the other agents and has direct cytotoxic activity against myeloma cells.
