ixekizumab + secukinumab

Ixekizumab and secukinumab are both interleukin-17A (IL-17A) inhibitors used sequentially in the treatment of immune-mediated inflammatory disorders. This approach typically involves switching from secukinumab to ixekizumab after secukinumab failure. Both are monoclonal antibodies that selectively bind to and inhibit IL-17A, preventing its interaction with the IL-17 receptor and blocking the inflammatory signaling pathway. Studies have shown that patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and psoriasis who failed treatment with secukinumab may still respond to ixekizumab, although the duration of response may be limited.
