Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JAB-BX102 + pembrolizumab is an investigational combination therapy for advanced solid tumors, currently in early-stage clinical trials. JAB-BX102 is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting CD73, an ectoenzyme that drives immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment via the adenosine pathway. Pembrolizumab is a monoclonal antibody immune checkpoint inhibitor targeting PD-1 (programmed cell death protein 1), widely used in immuno-oncology. The rationale for this combination is that inhibition of CD73 can reduce adenosine-mediated immunosuppression and enhance the anti-tumor immune response triggered by PD-1 blockade. Developed collaboratively by Jacobio and Merck & Co., this combination is being tested for safety, tolerability, and preliminary antitumor activity in adults with refractory or metastatic solid tumors[1][2][3][7].
