JE-VAX + CYD-TDV is a combination of two vaccines administered together or in close sequence for the prevention of Japanese encephalitis and dengue fever. - **JE-VAX** is an inactivated vaccine derived from mouse brain tissue and used to prevent Japanese encephalitis virus infection. It works by inducing neutralizing antibodies against the Japanese encephalitis virus. - **CYD-TDV (Chimeric Yellow Fever Derived Tetravalent Dengue Vaccine; brand name Dengvaxia)** is a live attenuated chimeric vaccine based on a yellow fever 17D backbone with prM and E genes from all four dengue serotypes (1–4). It induces immunity by stimulating both humoral and cellular immune responses against all four dengue virus serotypes[6][7][8][9]. When given together or sequentially, studies show no significant increase in overall neutralizing antibody titers compared to administration alone; however, there may be early immunological benefits such as increased activated CD8+ T cells when JE vaccine precedes CYD-TDV[1].
