Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jian'er Qiangshen (JEQS) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation, typically prepared as an ointment or paste, used for the treatment of bronchial asthma. It exerts its therapeutic effects through a multi-target mechanism that includes the inhibition of lung inflammation and the modulation of intestinal microbiota. Specifically, JEQS has been shown to reduce levels of inflammatory cytokines such as IFN-γ, IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13. Its primary active constituents include α-linolenic acid, 9-oxononanoic acid, inosine, linoleic acid, and amygdalin. Research indicates it targets key proteins such as AKT1, IL-6, TNF, and MAPK3, while also promoting a healthy balance of gut bacteria like Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria.
