Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jinfukang + cisplatin + pemetrexed is a combination therapy used primarily in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Jinfukang is a traditional Chinese medicine oral liquid, approved in China for NSCLC, with demonstrated anti-tumor effects including inhibition of tumor growth, metastasis, and regulation of cellular immunity. Cisplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that induces DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. Pemetrexed is an antifolate chemotherapy drug that inhibits multiple folate-dependent enzymes involved in nucleotide synthesis. The combination aims to enhance anti-tumor efficacy while potentially reducing chemotherapy-related adverse effects through the immunomodulatory and protective properties of Jinfukang[1][2][3]. Preclinical studies suggest synergistic induction of apoptosis via ROS-mediated ATM/ATR-p53 pathways when combining Jinfukang with cisplatin[1][4].
