Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jinfukang + docetaxel is a combination therapy consisting of Jinfukang, a traditional Chinese medicine formula approved in China for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and docetaxel, a well-established chemotherapeutic agent. Jinfukang is composed of multiple herbal ingredients and has demonstrated anti-tumor effects through inhibition of tumor growth, metastasis, and modulation of cellular immunity. Docetaxel is a taxane-class small molecule that disrupts microtubule function, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. The combination aims to enhance anti-cancer efficacy while potentially reducing chemotherapy-related adverse effects. This regimen has been explored primarily for NSCLC but may also be relevant in other cancers where docetaxel is used.
