Overview

JPB898 + ipilimumab is a combination therapy comprising **JPB898**, a biosimilar to nivolumab, and **ipilimumab**, a monoclonal antibody checkpoint inhibitor. JPB898 inhibits the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor on T cells, enhancing immune responses against tumors. Ipilimumab targets cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 (CTLA-4), another checkpoint protein on T cells, further augmenting immune activation. The combination is intended to synergistically enhance anti-tumor immunity and is primarily under investigation for stage III or metastatic stage IV melanoma. JPB898 is developed as a biosimilar to nivolumab, while ipilimumab (also known by the brand name Yervoy) is developed by Bristol Myers Squibb[1][5][6][7].
