Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JS001 + imatinib mesylate is a combination therapy consisting of two agents with distinct mechanisms of action. Imatinib mesylate is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor primarily targeting BCR-ABL, c-KIT (CD117), and PDGFR kinases. It is widely used in the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and other malignancies driven by these kinases[3][5]. JS001 is the code name for toripalimab, a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. The combination aims to leverage both targeted inhibition of oncogenic signaling pathways and immunomodulation to improve therapeutic outcomes in cancers such as melanoma with CKIT mutations[8]. This approach reflects an emerging strategy in oncology where targeted therapies are combined with immunotherapies.
