K-757 + K-833

K-757 and K-833 are novel, gut-restricted small molecule drugs developed as oral nutrient receptor agonists for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes. Specifically, K-757 is a full agonist of G-protein coupled receptor 40 (GPR40), while K-833 is a full agonist of G-protein coupled receptor 119 (GPR119). These agents work by enhancing the body's natural metabolic signaling to stimulate the secretion of appetite-suppressing hormones such as GLP-1, PYY, and CCK. The combination aims to provide weight loss and glycemic control through oral administration. In clinical studies, the combination demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in body weight compared to placebo in adults with obesity.
