Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KIND-030 is a chimeric monoclonal antibody designed for the treatment of Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) infection in cats. Developed by Kindred Biosciences and subsequently brought to market by Elanco following its acquisition of Kindred, KIND-030 is the first monoclonal antibody to receive conditional approval from the USDA Center for Veterinary Biologics for this indication. The antibody specifically targets and binds to the FeLV envelope protein, a critical component for viral attachment and entry into feline host cells. By neutralizing the virus, KIND-030 aims to reduce viremia and improve the clinical prognosis for infected cats. It is administered as a single intravenous infusion, providing a targeted therapeutic option where previously only supportive care was available.
