KK-LC-1-specific TCR-T cells are an autologous T-cell receptor (TCR) engineered T-cell therapy developed by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. This cell therapy is designed to target Kita-kyushu lung cancer antigen 1 (KK-LC-1), a cancer-testis antigen that is highly expressed in various malignancies, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), gastric cancer, and cervical cancer, but has limited expression in normal tissues. The treatment process involves isolating T cells from a patient, engineering them to express a specific TCR that recognizes KK-LC-1 peptides presented by human leukocyte antigens (HLA), and expanding these cells ex vivo before re-infusion. Once administered, these engineered T cells specifically identify and eliminate tumor cells expressing the KK-LC-1 antigen, providing a precision immunotherapy approach for advanced solid tumors.
